What types of appliances to power?

Not all devices consume current in the same way. Simple appliances such as incandescent lamps, heaters or hobs have no special requirements. Appliances driven by an electric motor such as drills, circular saws or compressors require starting power. Single-phase (230 V) or three-phase (400 V)? Do you need three-phase power? Some tools require three-phase power. in this case you will appreciate the Tristar and Silenstar three-phase range.

Find the rated power of each device

This information is given by the manufacturer of your tool and can be found on the manufacturer plate of your equipment. You can also find it in the user manual of your tool.

The power required to start each unit

Refer to the Starting Factors table. Multiply this rated power by the starting factor of your device. Refer to the board. The power ratings of the tools in this table are given as an example and your device may have a different power rating (or normal operating power). For example, to power a 1400 W professional vacuum cleaner, you will need a 2800 W (1400 x 2) minimum generator set.

Starting power of all appliances to be powered

After calculating the power required to start each tool, add them together to get the total value of your power requirements. For the longevity of your group, increase this value by 20% and you will have a power reserve.

Daily use

For daily use over a long period of time, a diesel engine is the best choice.

The simplest power tools do not require any special power quality. On the other hand, electronically controlled electrical equipment requires precise maintenance of the voltage as well as the frequency of the current supplied. We offer three types of regulation that cover all your needs:

Capacitor or compound

All our generators are equipped with voltage regulation by capacitor (single-phase) or compound (three-phase) +/- 5%

AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator)

Electronic device regulating the voltage (Volt) of the alternator +/- 2%. vll is advised to opt for this device for equipment sensitive to voltage variations.

INVERTER

Guarantees the best of technology to protect all types of tools, perfect current, quiet operation and reduced consumption.
